Sihanoukville

Located 230 km from Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville (also known as Kampong Saom) is the largest seaside town of Cambodia. It was founded in 1960 after independence from France as a port, in order to communicate the city with international trade.
It is facing the Gulf of Thailand and offers multiple possibilities to journey through islands. The region offers the best-known sandy beaches along the Gulf of Thailand where travelers can relax under the pine and coconut trees, after a long journey. It is also an ideal destination for diving and enjoying excellent freshly fished seafood.
