South Korea (officially the Republic of Korea) lies on the southern part of the Korean Peninsula, offering surprisingly natural landscape and 5000 years of culture and history. The country is largely mountainous, with small valleys and narrow coastal plains, mostly surrounded by water and has 2,413 km of coast line along three oceans.  Its geographical location offered Koreans to receive both global and maritime as well as enough resources, which created its richly and unique culture, with a mix between modern life and well-preserved cultural heritage.
