Day 1    BANGKOK – NAKHON RATCHASIMA (KHORAT) (260 KM)                  (L)
In the morning, drive to the door of Isan: Nakhon Ratchasima, better known as Khorat. Arrival for lunch then stroll through the town and stop at Thao Suranari memorial famous resistant during the Laotian invasion of the city in 1826. Then drive through the Isan’s countryside to visit the ancient Khmer temple of Phrathat Phanom Rung. This sanctuary is a complex built with laterite and sandstone, dating from the twelfth century. Finally, visit Prasat Hin Muang Than often forgotten by tourists. The complex dates from the tenth century and is located at the base of an extinct volcano.

Day 2    NAKHON RATCHASIMA (KHORAT) – PHIMAI – KHON KAEN (253 KM)                 (B/L)
After breakfast, visit Phimai Khmer temple, which is closely associated with the temples of Angkor in Cambodia. Prasat Hin Primal dates from the late eleventh century and is one of the finest examples of primary Khmer art that has subsequently been modified to meet the needs of Mahayana Buddhism. Lunch at local restaurant then drive to Sai Ngam to discover the oldest and largest Banyan tree of Thailand. Continue by the visit of the archaeological site of Baan Prasart, a several thousand years old village where were found many daily life artefacts as well as skeletons. In the afternoon drive to Khon Kaen. Stop in one of the traditional weaving silk centres of Chonnabot. Check-in at hotel on arrival.

Day 3    KHON KAEN – UDON THANI (113 KM)                 (B/L)
After breakfast stroll through this modern and old city. Visit Nong Wang temple and Sanjao Bueng Tao Gong Ma. Depart later by road toward Udon Thani. On the way, stop at Ban Khok Sa Nga village to attend an unusual show. The peculiarity of this village comes from his trainers of Cobra. Upon arrival visit Phu Phra Bat Historical Park, one of the most beautiful in the region.

Day 4    UDON THANI – NAKHON PHANOM (240 KM)                  (B/L)
After breakfast, start the day by an excursion to the archaeological site of Baan Chiang. Listed as a World Heritage by UNESCO since 1992, this site is considered as one of the most significant in Southeast Asia for its interesting pre-historic villages and cemetery that were first excavated in 1967. It is now completed by a museum rich with remnants exploring over 4,000 years of history. Then drive to Nakhon Phanom, a small town near the border of Laos. En route, stop to visit Phra Narai Cheng Weng Tat, a singular Khmer temple. The legend says this temple was built by women competing with men who built Phra That Phu Phek temple not so far away. Upon arrival at Nakhon Phanom, visit Ban Na Chok house, restored in honor of its famous resident - Ho Chi Minh. Transfer to the hotel and check-in. Before sunset, depart for a cruise along the Mekong River.

Day 5    NAKHON PHANOM – KHONG JIAM (346 KM)                   (B/L)
After breakfast, depart for an excursion to That Phanom. Then stroll through the Lao-Thai market (Monday and Thursday only). Visit the Temple of Phra That Phanom, an  important pilgrimage site for the Buddhist community in Thailand and Laos. Early afternoon, drive down along the Mekong River to Khong Jiam (approximately 4 hours). Upon arrival, check-in at hotel.

Day 6     KHONG JIAM                         (B/L)
After breakfast, spend the day exploring the region of Khong Jiam. On the way, stop at Kaeng Tana, the largest torrent of the Mun River; in Mae Naem Song Si where the Mekong and Mun rivers meet; to Chongmeck the  border between Thailand and Laos. Visit Sirindhorn Dam one of the most important dam in Thailand. Finally stop at Pha Taem and Pha Mon, two steep cliffs overlooking the Mekong River with a view of Laos and visit Sao Chalian. In the afternoon, return to the hotel and free time at leisure.

Day 7     KHONG JIAM – UBON RATCHATHANI (75 KM)                     (B)
After breakfast, drive to Ubon Ratchathani. Enjoy a city before the transfer to airport.
