Green Hill Valley Elephants Camp, 1 day

KALAW – ELEPHANT CAMP – KALAW                               (L)
In the morning, welcome by the local guide and excursion to the elephant camp of Green Hill Valley (approximately 45 min). On-site meet the mahouts and take part in the daily care of the animals, feeding and bathing them. This activity is very different from the elephant shows or rides that can be found elsewhere in Asia. Elephants here are cared for by Tun Tun, his veterinary uncle and their team of mahouts on a private natural reserve also home to butterflies, orchids and colorful birds. Beyond the tourist attraction, visitors learn how to to feed and bathe elephants in the river and spend quality time with these giant but tender animals. The visit ends with a delicious Kalaw Indian meal, overlooking the lush valley. In the afternoon, return to Kalaw and walk around this small town to discover its British colonial hill inheritance.
